Cradle Mountain Cafes and Restaurants

 Once you’ve worked up an appetite exploring Cradle Mountain National Park, there are plenty of places where you can refuel. The following cafes and restaurants are all located on the main road leading to the national park and are open for both lunch and dinner.

 Elements Cafe
Located at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre, this relaxed cafe offers everything from wraps to pies and burgers. It’s a good place to grab a coffee before or after exploring the trails or pick up picnic supplies to take with you.

Altitude Restaurant
Located at Cradle Mountain Hotel, Altitude Restaurant serves up fresh and seasonal produce as part of its lunch and dinner menus. Dishes include Scottsdale pork belly, Mount Roland porterhouse steak and Tasmanian rainbow trout croquettes, plus platters featuring Tasmanian cheeses.

 Hellyers Restaurant
Forming part of Cradle Mountain Village, Hellyers Restaurant offers a selection of small share plates, accompanied by high-quality Tasmanian wines. You’ll find everything from chickpea panzanella to confit duck and beer-battered fries, not to mention delicious desserts.

 Highland Restaurant
Fine dining is the focus of the Highland Restaurant, which is the more upmarket of the two dining establishments at Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge. It offers two or three-course options with your choice of meat and seafood dishes, plus a vegetarian/vegan-friendly menu.

 Tavern Bar & Bistro
With its rustic atmosphere and roaring log fire, the Tavern serves up bistro-style meals at lunch and dinner. Its menu of pizzas, burgers and pasta dishes is family-friendly and is complemented by a wide choice of Tasmanian beers, ciders and wines. Located at Cradle Mountain Lodge.
